NOTICE OF RACE

INVITATION
You are cordially invited to compete in the 2010 FWBC PHRF Fleet Series. The Fort Worth Boat Club (FWBC) is the host club and the organizing authority.
RULES
The races in each series shall be governed by the rules as defined in the 2009-2012 edition of US SAILING The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the FWBC Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) Rules and Regulations. Sailing Instructions will be posted on the race committee notice board and published in the Fort Worth Boat Club Log.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
To register, complete the PHRF Fleet application form available in the FWBC office and submit the form along with a $100 registration fee to the office. An FWBC PHRF Rating Form (available from the FWBC office or website) must also be on file in order to assign a handicap and be scored. You are not required to be a member of FWBC to be eligible to race.
SCHEDULE OF RACES
The schedule of races will be posted on the race committee notice board and published in the Fort Worth Boat Club Log. There will be six (6) series of races (Marigail, Roadie, Hub Isaacks, Rolling Time, Paki and Blue Moon). In the event that the posted race schedule conflicts with the published schedule, the posted schedule shall govern.
CLASSES:
The series races are open to all keelboats. The class divisions will be as follows:

All fleets included in the same class will start together and sail the same course.
SCORING
Six races are scheduled for each series. One race is required to complete a series.
1) When fewer than four races have been completed, a boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores.
2) When four or five races have been completed, a boat’s series score shall be the total of her scores excluding her worst score.
3) When six races have been completed, a boat’s series score shall be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.
PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded in each series based on the number of boats participating in each class. At least three boats must start at least 50% of the races in a series to be awarded trophies for a one-design or PHRF fleet separate from the Spinnaker I, II or III, or Genoa I, II or III divisions.

Competitors participate in the PHRF Fleet races entirely at their own risk. See RRS rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after any race or series.
EQUIPMENT
All boats must be equipped with an anchor and line.
